Position Requirements
  • On-the-job training available in Learning Management Systems, Word Press, Articulate Storyline 360 or other current rapid eLearning authoring tools.
  • High School diploma.
  • Experience in graphic design and creation of original artwork using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
  • College education.
  • Experience and training in eLearning design.
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Filmmaking/video producing experience.
  • Word Press and Woo Commerce experience.

General Summary

The Temporary Customer Support & Design Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting Career Smart customers with informational and technical inquiries and assisting with the design and development of web-based curriculum and content, eLearning modules, live class and webinar presentations, video programming, and advertising for print or digital media.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide prompt and polite technical support and customer service via phone and email.
  • Interface with Learning Management System to investigate learner issues and generate learner progress reports.
  • Maintain daily log of customer service inquiries and technical support issues.
  • Assist with technical research, troubleshooting, and problem solving related to electronic resources and/or software.
  • Coordinate technical support at Career Smart hosted live seminar/webinar events.
  • Design original artwork for educational materials using Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Storyline, Captivate.
  • Manipulate and edit existing artwork and media to create new designs, animations, and multimedia.
  • Interpret subject matter expert content, develop storyboard design, and submit to supervisor for approval.
  • Edit audio files for course designs; use text-to-speech for narration.
  • Format, arrange, synchronize animations, images, text, and audio to produce functional courses to upload into LMS.
  • Respond to feedback from Curriculum Development Review Committee to update courses.
  • Participate in meetings, contributing ideas for business growth.
  • Assist in advertising, marketing, and promotional efforts: create graphic designs, develop promotional videos, maintain website updates, help set up technology and materials at exhibits and trade shows.
  • Other related duties as directed by supervisors.

  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Captivate, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Technical knowledge and initiative in new technology and eLearning trends.
  • Attention to detail in performing tasks.
  • Adherence to internal processes, procedures, documentation standards.
  • Understanding of Career Smart product, brand identity, and target audience.
