Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments.

This position requires the dimensional/visual/mechanical property inspection of parts throughout various stages of manufacturing up to and including final acceptance. Various gages and inspection equipment will be used to determine conformance to requirements along with identifying and reporting defects per established procedures and practices.

• Visually inspect sample parts, usually under a magnifying glass or microscope, from each pan and identify any nonconforming parts in the lot. If the nonconforming parts exceed acceptance criteria, the entire lot is rejected via written documentation. This work can be performed in the Inspection area as well as on the shop floor.
• Read prints/specifications, measure parts and work with the following types of gages to determine if product is in conformance: pin gages, micrometers (various types), drop gage indicators, calipers, hardness tester, tri-rolls, optical comparator and other equipment or gages as needed.
• Document results on applicable quality documentation.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to assist team in meeting goals related to quality, cost and delivery.
• Train other inspectors to the functions required for that position.
• Work with minimal supervision to independently perform the job of Inspector A in its entirety as assigned.

• Communicate job status, relevant information to coworkers as well as inform operators on the floor of defective product while performing inspection on the shop floor.
• Complete assigned tasks, functions and special projects in a timely manner.
• Read and understand written work instructions.
• Conduct 100% visual inspection of lots as needed.
• Complete router, inspection reports and Non‑Conformance Report, as needed.
• Keep work area organized and clean at all times.
• Observe all safety regulations in all duties.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Visual acuity for detailed work.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist and waist to floor occasionally.
• Must be able to stand throughout the entire shift.
• Must be able to work in an un‑air conditioned, well‑ventilated and/or air‑conditioned shop environment.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Good communication and basic math skills.
• Familiarity and experience with various gages and measuring equipment.
• Five years of related experience.
