Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced AOI Operator for the 2nd Shift in California. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to transition from a temporary to a permanent role in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role is based in Brea, CA, and requires individuals who are skilled in performing meticulous inspections of printed circuit board assemblies.
Responsibilities- Responsible for setup and operation of 2D AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machines.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure workmanship that complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, industry standards (IPC-610, J-STD-001), and customer‑specific criteria.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as smart tweezers, calipers, and pin gauges to determine adherence to electrical and dimensional specifications on first articles, in‑process inspections, and production runs.
- Operate equipment in a fast‑paced electro‑mechanical production environment.
- Communicate defects not captured by equipment to responsible personnel for enhancement of program integrity.
- Inform assembly operators of defects noted during AOI operations to facilitate quick corrections.
- Perform and record results of first article inspections and in‑process inspections of assemblies and input data into the associated database.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics assembly manufacturing or similar industry.
- Experience operating Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine and the ability to interpret Engineering Documentation and work instructions.
- 3 years of experience in Electronic Manufacturing.
- Comprehension of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Understanding of electronic component orientation and ability to distinguish different part numbers.
- 1 year of experience in a regulated industry such as ISO
9001, AS9100, or ISO
13485.
Monday to Friday, 2nd Shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.50 to $25.50, with potential for growth and transition to a permanent role.
