2nd Shift - Tapping Machine Operator

• Operates tapping machine equipment to produce parts according to specifications and/or special instructions.
• Understands and uses drawings, manuals, and work instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Starts and observes on‑going machine operation to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Verifies conformance of finished work‑piece to specifications.
• Inspects parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
• Understands tapping sequence.
• Keeps tooling clean and in working order.

$20/hr-$25/hr.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of 0-3 years related industrial machine shop experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
