Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and machine shop equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical issues to determine corrective actions
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble dies and tooling components
- Operate manual machines including mills, grinders, lathes, and drill presses
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Design and fabricate new tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures as needed
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments to ensure acceptable tolerances
- Assist with die setups, adjustments, and changeovers
- Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and scrap
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve tooling issues
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout requirements
- 3 to 5 years of tool and die maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience in stamping, machining, or aerospace manufacturing is a strong plus
- CNC machining and CAD familiarity preferred
- Welding and fabrication skills are a bonus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working around machinery, noise, oils, and hand and power tools
