Seeking an experienced Heading Machinist to set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on producing high-quality parts while maintaining equipment, following blueprints, and meeting production requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines.
- Produce quality parts using blueprints, process documents, and work instructions.
- Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Gather production materials, drawings, schedules, and tooling requirements.
- Enter setup and production data into the K-Lite tracking system.
- Identify and report machine issues, material defects, and drawing discrepancies.
- Perform machine maintenance and tooling replacements as needed.
- Support and train new team members when required.
- 5+ years of cold heading or related machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience using precision inspection equipment.
- Experience with National, Okuma, or Waterbury machines is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
