Emerald Technologies is excited to welcome a Production Planner/Scheduler to our Brea, CA team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of materials and products throughout the PCBA manufacturing process to ensure on-time customer deliveries, efficient production execution, and achievement of operational goals.

Responsibilities of the Production Planner:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to ensure manufacturing work orders are released and completed in accordance with customer delivery requirements and production priorities.
• Partner with Production, Supply Chain, and the Master Scheduler to manage material availability, shortages, and production constraints impacting the manufacturing schedule.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to create, release, and manage manufacturing work orders, routing information, and production documentation.
• Monitor work-in-process (WIP), production performance, and schedule adherence while identifying and communicating risks to on-time delivery.
• Coordinate the movement and availability of materials, components, tooling, and documentation required to support production schedules.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations teams to resolve schedule conflicts and support customer commitments.
• Analyze production flow and planning processes to recommend continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve operational performance.

Qualifications of the Production Planner:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing coordination experience, preferably within a PCBA, electronics manufacturing, or high-mix/low-volume production environment.
• Working knowledge of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing processes, production workflows, and customer-driven delivery requirements.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems to manage manufacturing work orders, schedules, inventory transactions, and production planning activities.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications used for planning, reporting, and data analysis.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 familiarity or certification is preferred, along with a continuous improvement mindset focused on operational excellence.
