Overview
Are you looking for a new career opportunity with an exciting Defense/Aerospace company? Then we ve got the right team for you! In this role, you re responsible for the duties listed below.
Responsibilities- Responsible for inspection and test requirements at all stages of manufacturing to ensure customer requirements as described in the Quality Procedure Manual and contract requirements, including AS9100 compliance.
- Maintain relevant updated specifications, standards and quality systems documents.
- Perform assigned tests on materials, parts, in-process products, and finished products.
- Inspect visually for obvious defects and compare results with drawing and specification requirements.
- Report problems with inspection and test results to the Quality Supervisor.
- Identify defective items and segregate from acceptable product.
- Notify Quality Supervisor and Quality Engineer when inspection data exceed acceptable limits or when major quality incidents occur.
- Record results on inspection forms or charts and report number of defects found.
- Recommend disposition of suspect or defective product to Quality Supervisor.
- Support quality record retention by assisting with filing and maintenance of Quality Records.
- Experience with a 3D scanner or Faro Arm.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member or independently.
- Ability to communicate with all levels within Production and convey messages effectively.
- Ability to think critically and act logically to evaluate situations and determine required steps to ensure success.
- Persistence and determination in problem-solving.
- Strong focus on quality and commitment to total customer satisfaction, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
- Strong focus on safety, including personal safety, co-worker safety, and protection of property in accordance with company practices and regulations.
- Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Systems.
- Knowledge of calibration requirements and procedures.
- Proficiency with computer-based applications;
Microsoft Excel is a must.
Salary Range: $30 to $38/hour
