Sales Team Manager - Automotive Aftermarket (Warehouse Distributor Channel) Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sales Team Manager to drive growth within the Automotive Aftermarket Warehouse Distributor (WD) channel while supporting OE initiatives and expanding private brand business. This role will lead sales strategy, manage key distributor relationships, and execute growth initiatives aligned with Tier-1 quality standards and global automotive business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have strong automotive aftermarket parts sales experience, specifically within suspension and steering product categories, including dampers, shock absorbers, and steering modules. This role requires proven success managing Warehouse Distributor accounts, developing customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and leading sales teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a sales team supporting Automotive Aftermarket WD customers, OE opportunities, and private brand programs.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and market share within national and regional Warehouse Distributor accounts.
  • Manage strategic WD customer relationships, including pricing programs, contract negotiations, line reviews, promotions, and assortment expansion.
  • Drive growth of suspension and steering product lines, including dampers, shock absorbers, and steering modules.
  • Expand private brand penetration while maintaining pricing discipline and profitability objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term customer partnerships.
  • Support OE growth initiatives aligned with Tier-1 automotive strategies.
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, account planning, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product launches and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to the sales team.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of automotive aftermarket parts sales experience.
  • Strong experience managing Warehouse Distributor (WD) accounts.
  • Proven sales leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success selling automotive components through aftermarket channels.
  • Experience with suspension, steering, damper, or related automotive component sales strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive aftermarket distribution channels and customer buying behaviors.
  • Experience managing pricing, negotiations, promotions, and customer programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Tier-1 automotive suppliers or global automotive brands.
  • Experience supporting private label/private brand programs.
  • Background selling suspension, steering, brake, thermal, or electric automotive components.
  • Experience working with national automotive distributors and aftermarket networks.
Candidates Not Applicable for This Role The Following Backgrounds Will Not Be Considered Relevant
  • Vehicle sales experience (dealership/new car sales) without automotive parts sales experience.
  • Heavy-duty aftermarket sales experience.
  • Tire industry sales experience.
  • General sales experience outside the automotive parts industry.
