Observe store activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity and collect investigative evidence;
Document apprehensions and follow AP Directives and company policy;
Conduct external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft;
Report suspected fraud and policy violations to AP or Store leadership;
Create and manage records for apprehensions, statements, evidence retention, and disposition of recovered merchandise;
Assist with internal investigations and serve as interview witness when directed by Asset Protection leadership;
Identify potential acts of theft and fraud through observation of activity and exception reports;
Investigate suspicious behavior and maintain records of outcomes; attend court hearings as required;
Travel to stores as necessary to support Asset Protection operations;
Analyze intelligence on individuals and booster groups involved in theft;
Support safety culture and communicate shrinkage and safety topics in morning meetings;
Walk the store to identify hazards and take initiative to correct minor hazards; escalate larger concerns;
Provide emergency or critical incident response and assist with incident investigations and audits;
Coaching associates on maintaining hazard-free work areas and keeping the sales floor safe;
Support stores during critical incidents, business disruptions, and natural disasters
