Java Developer, Software Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guidewire Policy Center Developer with strong Java/J2EE expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Guidewire Policy Center (PC) and Java and will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex web applications. This role requires hands-on experience with Guidewire Policy Center and Java/J2EE, along with experience working across Enterprise projects.
The developer will be key to the design, development, and maintenance of robust, scalable systems, and will collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Guidewire Policy Center (PC) and Java-based systems.
Collaboration:
Work closely with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software and meet project deadlines.
Stay updated on the latest trends in enterprise-level frameworks and platforms, incorporating best practices into development processes.
Lead efforts in researching and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems and system integrations.
Assist in defining development standards, best practices, and code libraries for efficient system management and scalability.
Prepare detailed software specifications and design documents from which programs will be written.
Code, configure, unit test, review code, debug, document, and maintain complex software applications, utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
Lead medium-sized development teams and mentor less experienced developers, ensuring the quality and efficiency of software development practices.
Required Qualifications:
Strong experience with Guidewire Policy Center (PC) and working knowledge of Guidewire Insurance Suite.
Proficient in Java, J2EE, and working with RESTful APIs and Web Services.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications and enterprise-level systems.
Ability to integrate systems and create custom solutions using Guidewire and Java/J2EE frameworks.
Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and maintain complex systems.
Excellent collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and manage medium-sized projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to other Guidewire modules (Claim Center, Billing Center) is a plus.
Experience:
Experience with cloud-based development platforms and tools.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies for software development.
Certifications:
Certifications in Guidewire Policy Center or related Java/J2EE technologies are a plus.

Guidewire Certification:
Guidewire Certification in Policy Center, Claim Center, or Billing Center is preferred.

Oracle Java SE certifications are beneficial.
