Senior Technical Lead – Embedded Networking (C++ / Linux) Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead – Embedded Networking to lead and mentor a team working on high‑performance, user‑space C++ applications running on embedded Linux platforms. This role focuses on networked services, long‑running daemons, IPC, and media streaming applications, with no kernel or driver development involvement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers working on embedded networking solutions, improving code quality, scalability, and overall productivity.
- Perform in‑depth code reviews for C++ and Linux user‑space applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and memory‑safe design.
- Design, build, and support multi‑process, long‑running Linux services and daemons
, including systemd unit configuration, startup sequencing, monitoring, and recovery behavior. - Actively participate in technical design discussions, architectural reviews, and feasibility assessments
, identifying risks and recommending optimal technical solutions. - Collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while contributing to accurate technical estimates.
- Prepare and share regular project status updates
, proactively identifying risks and supporting timely resolution of technical escalations.
- Strong hands‑on experience with C and C++ development on Linux
, including:- Multi‑process / multi‑threaded applications
- IPC mechanisms
- Performance profiling and memory debugging
- Solid understanding of Linux user‑space service development
, including systemd, journald logging, and service lifecycle management. - TCP/UDP, TLS
- DHCP/DNS
- REST/HTTP at the application layer
- Message brokers such as MQTT (topic design, QoS, tuning, client behavior)
- Experience with GStreamer and audio/video pipelines
, including RTP streaming, codec integration, and playback troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of deploying and running C++ applications on embedded Linux targets
, including:- Image packaging and configuration management
- On‑device logging and diagnostics
- Behavior across power cycles and network transitions
- Comfortable working in a cross‑compile environment
, using Git/SVN source control and ticket‑driven workflows. - Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and stakeholder teams.
- Prior experience leading or owning technical modules within embedded or networking products.
- Exposure to large‑scale or production embedded systems with uptime and reliability requirements.
Pay Range Minimum: $ 88,000 per year
Pay Range Maximum: $ 124,000 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonuses subject to company policies.
