Cargill is seeking a Reliability and Production Excellence Engineer to enhance the performance and reliability of our manufacturing operations. In this on-site role, you will analyze equipment and process data, develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and lead projects that improve uptime, safety, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Partnering with operations, maintenance, and safety teams, you will apply reliability engineering, Lean, and continuous improvement tools to reduce failures, optimize production, and support food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead reliability engineering initiatives to improve uptime and reduce unplanned downtime across production lines
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify chronic issues, failure modes, and optimization opportunities
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and standards
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to drive production excellence projects
  • Implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for major equipment and process failures
  • Support deployment of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) on the plant floor
  • Define and track KPIs for reliability, OEE, and production performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and food safety standards in all engineering activities
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and training materials for plant personnel
