Overview
The Assessor’s Office is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven professional to join our team as an Assessment Technician I. This para-professional role provides front-line public assistance and technical support for property assessment and parcel records by responding to inquiries from property owners, businesses, and agencies, and researching and updating property data. The role supports appraisal functions through field work, processing of building permits and sales verification, as well as the full appeals process involving coordination with other county offices, and maintaining accurate appeal records in assessment systems.
Duties also include comprehensive parcel and records maintenance such as processing recorded documents and legal description changes, managing personal property and mobile home records, updating addresses, scanning and indexing documents, and performing ongoing data quality control in CAMA and other assessor systems.
- Prior experience working in an Assessor’s Office or working with property records, real estate transactions, reading building plans, performing technical clerical work.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a business, administrative, or public-facing environment, with hands-on experience performing technical, data-driven work.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License required at time of hire and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
