Summary Description
As a Lead Rental Technician, you’ll help guests get geared up, comfortable, and confident before they hit the slopes. You’ll also support the rental team by sharing your equipment expertise, helping newer technicians learn the ropes, and keeping service moving during busy periods. You’ll lead by example to deliver the best-in-class guest service on which we pride ourselves.

What You'll Be Doing (Besides Planning Your Next Run)
- Welcome guests and create a fun, friendly shop experience.
- Fit boots, skis, snowboards, and poles to help guests feel ready for their ski or ride day.
- Pass binding certification tests and follow all required equipment and safety procedures.
- Answer technicians’ questions, demonstrate fitting techniques, and help train new team members.
- Help coordinate rental workflow during shifts so guests receive timely service.
- Share your knowledge of gear and mountain culture to guide guests toward the right equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and help resolve guest concerns, involving a manager when needed.
- Help keep rental equipment and the workspace organized and ready for guests.
- Communicate equipment needs and recurring service issues to store leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Makes You a Fit
- You have experience fitting ski or snowboard rental equipment and enjoy sharing what you know.
- You’re friendly, patient, and comfortable helping guests with different levels of experience.
- You enjoy supporting teammates and can stay focused when the shop gets busy.
- You love to ski or snowboard and enjoy helping others get out on the mountain.
- You use good judgment to solve problems and know when to involve a manager.
- You can work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and split shifts.
- You can stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- You have basic computer skills for transactions and documentation.
