Pay

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Location

On-site role based in Brecksville, OH or Orlando, FL, working closely with project and field teams in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Note

This role requires 3+ years of construction estimating experience. Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and heavy civil or site construction estimating is strongly preferred and will significantly strengthen candidacy.

Job Description
  • Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for heavy civil and site construction projects
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans, specifications, and related documents
  • Develop full-scope estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs
  • Utilize estimating software and historical cost data to refine pricing strategies
  • Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor bids
  • Identify risks, cost drivers, value-engineering opportunities, and scope gaps
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to validate assumptions
  • Present estimates clearly, including key assumptions and risk considerations
  • Support smooth handoff from estimating to operations
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of construction estimating experience
  • Background in heavy civil, site work, or infrastructure-related construction preferred
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid is a strong plus
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
