Manufacturing Engineering Intern
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our Farris team! The internship will focus on time studies and CAD drawing updates, offering a flexible learning environment for future Manufacturing Engineers.

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Your Challenge- Develop and update CAD drawings for fixtures and plant layout
- Conduct detailed time studies for various manufacturing processes
- Contribute to various Continuous Improvement (CI) events
- Basic CNC programming (dependent upon skillset)
- Support ME’s with ongoing projects related to routine analyses, design and/or assembly
- Provide estimates of manufacturing costs and make recommendations for tooling & process requirements
- Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
- Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial (Manufacturing), Electrical, Engineering Technology and/or Chemical
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with/adapt to customers, suppliers and employees/managers at all levels within the company
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in standard business software packages
- Ability to perform work in accordance with safety, workmanship and good housekeeping specifications
- Possibility to lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds
- Ability to multi‑task and handle quick turnaround – a plus
- CAD / 3D modeling experience – a plus
- Time study experience – a plus
