Supply Chain Intern

The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for a critical project within the overall Supply Chain Team. Duties include engaging suppliers, purchasing components or services, conducting onsite supplier visits, and launching new products or improving supply‑chain performance. Outstanding performance positions the intern for a full‑time role in the Supply Chain and Operations Career Rotational Program after graduation.

Location:

Brecksville, OH.

• Two‑year, four six‑month rotations within Supply Chain and Operations.
• On‑site roles required; at least one rotation on site.
• Cross‑functional learning across Engineering, Sales, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Peer mentor or on‑the‑job coach.
• Green Belt training and functional‑area project during the second rotation.
• End‑of‑rotation report‑outs to the Supply Chain and Operations leadership team.
• Final placement in Supply Chain or Operations based on business needs and interests.

• Develop an understanding of the Supply Chain department and its collaboration with other functions.
• Assist and lead assigned projects.
• Create process improvements for increased efficiencies and waste elimination.
• Support new product launch processes, including master data management in Infor LN, supplier sourcing, request‑for‑quotes, and recommendation analysis.
• Conduct supply‑chain analysis for forecasting, performance metrics, and order management.
• Perform statistical analysis and insight reporting on commodity spend.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Business Development, and Operations to procure high‑quality, cost‑competitive parts or services.
• Run cost‑analysis reports, monitor cost changes, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Monitor R‑Metrics departmental reports and provide trend analysis.
• Develop and deliver presentations on suppliers and performance to management.
• Interact with other Curtiss‑Wright locations.
• Maintain and develop spreadsheets and pivot tables to support sourcing decisions.

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS program in Engineering, Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
• Ability to multitask and handle quick turnarounds.
• Problem‑identification skills and the ability to execute acceptable solutions or appropriately escalated issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with customers, suppliers, and employees across all levels.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Proficiency in standard business software, especially Microsoft Office.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
