Position: 2026 R&D Accelerated Development Program Chemist - Brecksville, OH

R&D Accelerated Development Program (ADP)

This program begins July 2026 and is a full‑time, 40‑hour week position at the Morikis Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio. The role is designed for motivated, learning‑agile individuals with a drive for research & development and may require relocation for training and post‑program positions.

Responsibilities
  • Build knowledge of paint and coatings chemistry and formulation.
  • Execute testing methods and quality control using statistical software.
  • Learn and build understanding of commercialization, product, industry and segment knowledge.
  • Build expertise in project management and report on results and findings.
  • Create and foster relationships with global supply chain and gain knowledge of plant operations.
  • Build cross‑functional partnerships with and understand the interaction of Marketing, Operations, and Technical Services to execute innovation strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree by the time of the program.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.8.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to relocate for the position and upon completion of the program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
  • At least one year of work experience in a quality control/assurance lab or R&D, or completion of a Sherwin‑Williams Development Program in a quality or R&D function.
  • Experience working in a team‑oriented setting, including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
  • At least one year of experience managing projects.
