Fire Suppression Service Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a Service Technician to perform service, repairs, troubleshooting, and installation of portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites.

• Perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems.
• Service, troubleshoot, and install equipment from various manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational manuals.
• Manage daily service calls, customer activity, and program system products.
• Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazard systems.
• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for emergency service.
• Perform inspections of suppression gas systems as per contract requirements.

• 4+ years of experience in fire suppression or similar service environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer‑facing service and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Manufacturer certifications are a plus (ANSUL, Kiddie Pyro Chem). Local or state licenses as required.

Hourly range: $26.06 – $35.82, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
