Operations Controller

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing organization with multiple production sites in the Netherlands. The company operates in a fast-paced environment and focuses on operational performance, continuous improvement, and strong collaboration between operations and finance.

We are looking for an Operations Controller who will be the financial sparring partner to the plant management team. The role focuses on translating financial and operational data into clear insights and actions to improve cost control, efficiency, and overall performance. The candidate will also contribute to ERP-related improvements and standardization initiatives.

• Partner with plant management and key operational stakeholders as the finance point of contact.
• Analyze and steer operational KPIs (productivity, efficiency, yield, and cost).
• Maintain and improve standard costing and margin performance.
• Perform variance analyses (volume, mix, price, efficiency) and drive follow-up actions.
• Support and challenge Cap Ex proposals and business cases.
• Contribute to ERP-related projects and process standardization across operations.
• Identify improvement opportunities and support group-wide performance initiatives.

• Experience in plant/operations controlling or finance business partnering in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, margin control, and variance analysis.
• Experience working with operational KPIs and influencing stakeholders.
• SAP experience is required.
• Able to work on-site and start quickly.

This role is on-site and works closely with both local plant stakeholders and a central operations control team.
