Key Responsibilities
- Interpret Drawings: Read and understand detailed drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure and Verify: Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of work pieces.
- Repair and Maintain: Repair and maintain existing tools and dies, ensuring they function properly.
- Test and Inspect: Test completed tools and dies to ensure they meet specifications and inspect finished products for quality.
- Problem-Solve: Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve tool and die issues.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all tools and dies meet safety standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance and repairs.
- Design and Build: Create new tools and dies based on blueprints, sketches, and specifications, often using CAD software.
- Operate Machines: Set up, operate, and maintain conventional, manual, and CNC machine tools.
