Your missionIn this role, you will lead a department of 5-6 people (more in future) and manage them while they are working across various projects. This job provides an opportunity to contribute and co‑develop an avionics roadmap for our current as well as future demonstrators and build an avionics know‑how for the Aurora Space plane.
- Review and coordinate the development of avionics systems like Flight Control Computer (FCC), Data Acquisition Unit, Telemetry, Flight Termination System (FTS) and Power supply according to the project demands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments like Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC), Ground and Telemetry systems.
- Organize and lead a team of 5-6 avionics engineers who work across various projects.
- Coordinate the interaction between avionics development and project demands.
- Master or PhD in Aerospace/Electrical Engineering (or related fields)
- Knowledge of relevant avionics standards and protocols (civil, military and space)
- 5-6 years of experience in avionics development or related fields in a reputed aerospace company
- 2-3 years of experience in managing small avionics teams with at least 5-6 people
- Interdisciplinary knowledge across various engineering fields
- Fluent English and German language skills
