Job Description
This Finance Manager role is responsible for the overall financial integrity and performance of the DE Bakery & DACH Meals categories. The position supports the Senior Manager Category Finance DACH with business proposal preparation, assumption verification, objective delivery, and ensuring timely, accurate reporting. It also leads the reporting and analysis processes for the Annual Contract, Forecast updates, and Actuals for these categories, providing critical financial insights to stakeholders.
The role includes managing a direct report and third‑party resources.
- Financial Analysis & Decision Support:
Provide financial analysis and decision support to the Category Marketing team and Senior Manager Category Finance DACH on matters impacting short‑term results and strategic decisions. - Cross‑Functional Partnership:
Drive collaboration with Demand Planning, Business Excellence, Commercial Controlling, and Project Management, acting as a proactive business partner to the Local Marketing team to ensure optimal business decisions. - Team Management:
Manage a Category Finance Analyst to ensure appropriate support and reporting for DE Bakery & DACH Meals performance and I2M (Idea‑to‑Market) processes. - Financial Planning & Reporting:
Lead financial planning processes and actual reporting/analysis for total DE Bakery & DACH Meals. - Performance Assessment:
Prepare insightful, timely, and accurate financial analysis to assess operating performance against targets, identify risks/opportunities, and support financial evaluations (e.g., new product launches, cost/pricing changes) with Category Finance Analyst support. - Proposal Evaluation:
Provide financial calculations and qualitative evaluations for marketing proposals (e.g., New Product Development, Price Increases) and AR (Appropriation Request) proposals for Capex/investments. - Controls & Compliance:
Contribute to a strong controls and compliance environment, ensuring policy understanding and proper controls within Mondelēz International.
- 5+ years of relevant financial experience (ideally in the FMCG sector)
- University degree in Controlling or Business Administration / Finance
- Strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of commercial finance principles (not accounting‑focused).
- Leadership experience not explicitly required, but experience managing or mentoring a small team is beneficial.
- Fluent English skills are mandatory, German skills are an advantage.
