As an ‘IT Help Desk Technician’, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the internal IT needs of the Synchro Net family of companies. Duties include remote/onsite technical support and PC setup. In addition, this position requires the ability to listen and effectively communicate information to customers and vendors, deliver support both in-person and over the phone in a professional manner, train peers, work independently and as a member of a team, and maintain cooperative work relationships.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Technical Support for company staff
- Monitor tickets and ensure work is completed in a timely manner
- Assist with software compliance audits
- PC Setup/Maintenance
- Customer IT Support
- Keep supervisor updated on major areas of responsibility
- Train Peers when needed
- Complete projects in timely manner
- Proactively identify negative network conditions when possible and communicate to supervisor
- Maintain knowledge on current and new applicable technologies
- Maintain cooperative work relationships
- Perform special assignments when needed
Skills and Abilities
Minimum qualifications as detailed below or a combination of education and/or experience deemed equivalent by management.
Education- Preferred – Associate Degree in computer science or a related field.
- Related certifications are a plus.
- Two years of network and PC troubleshooting/maintenance experience.
- Experience solving end-user’ PC/Server issues.
- Demonstrable advanced computer skill level required.
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting
- Configure, install, deploy, and/or repair PC’s and servers.
- Provide support to local/remote users with computer and phone issues.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows PC/server operating systems.
- Able to work under general supervision independently and in a team environment.
- Maintain cooperative work relationships.
- Good time management and documentation skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to type at least 45 WPM with 95+% accuracy.
- Long periods of sitting.
- Able to bend, stoop, lift, carry, kneel/crawl
- Able to supply and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
- Provide and maintain a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Able to maintain balance and climb ladders safely.
- Possess sufficient hand strength and dexterity to safely use industry tools, including sharp tools (ie. knives, scissors, cable clippers, and blades)
- Must also be able to tolerate confined spaces and work well in a stressful environment.
Full Time – 40 hour work week. When necessary, after-hours work will also be required.
Pay – $25/hr
