Wound Care Nurse; weekend

Overview

Haralson Nursing and Rehab is currently seeking a Wound Care Nurse RN/LPN for every other weekend. As part of the Wound Care Team, the wound care nurse participates in assessing and evaluating the clinical needs of residents with wounds, and works with the resident and the rest of the care team in planning and implementing care that addresses the needs. This work is carried out in support of the mission of Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

• Conduct comprehensive wound consultations including detailed wound assessments and recommendations for interventions and care planning.
• Conduct wound assessments for residents and complete all associated documentation, tracking and care planning activities.
• Ongoing monitoring of all assigned residents with wounds.
• Assess resident/caregiver knowledge of wound prevention and treatment. Provide resident/caregiver with wound prevention/treatment education as needed.

Seeking an individual with Wound Care Certification with some prior experience in the role.
