Tax Director (Trusts & Estates)

We are a Top 100 public accounting firm seeking an experienced Tax Director (Trusts & Estates) to join our team.

Salary: $220,000 - $270,000 per year.

• 7‑10 years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating a proven progression in tax complexity, scope, and research.
• 2+ years of experience representing clients before taxing authorities.
• Strong working knowledge of fiduciary trust and estate income taxation, federal estate and gift taxation, and Washington estate taxation.
• 1+ year of experience supervising and directing the work of tax preparers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master’s degree in taxation preferred.
• Minimum of 40 hours of continuing education required each year to maintain and develop technical and business skills.
• Active CPA license.
• Member in good standing with the American Institute of CPAs.

• Responsible for the development, coaching, and training of senior, semi‑senior, and staff accountants.
• Familiar with the qualifications of all tax staff members to develop and conduct their training needs.
• Participates in reviews and evaluations of the tax department.
