• 7‑10 years of experience in public accounting with a proven progression in tax complexity, scope, and research.
• 2+ years representing clients before taxing authorities.
• Strong working knowledge of fiduciary trust and estate income taxation, federal estate and gift taxation, and Washington estate taxation.
• 1+ year of experience supervising and directing work of tax preparers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master’s degree in taxation preferred.
• Minimum of 40 hours of continuing education required each year to maintain and develop technical and business skills.
• Active CPA license.
• Member in good standing with the American Institute of CPAs.

• Develop, coach, and train senior, semi‑senior, and staff accountants.
• Know the qualifications of all tax staff members to develop appropriate training.
• Participate in reviews and evaluations of the tax department.
