Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a Care Team Assistant to support the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT). In this role, you will help coordinate communication, manage reports and documentation, and support daily operations that allow crisis clinicians to respond effectively in the community. This position plays an essential part in maintaining organization, timely communication, and accurate recordkeeping in a fast-paced environment.

- Receive and triage phone calls, take messages, and route them appropriately while ensuring prompt and courteous communication.
- Assist MCOT staff in gathering information related to crisis calls and accessing relevant information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Track team locations and estimated arrival times to ensure communication with staff in the field.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, forms, and reports accurately and professionally.
- Maintain organized and accurate program files, records, and logs.
- Compile and distribute daily and weekly statistical reports as requested by MCOT leadership.
- Submit documentation to Records to maintain the EHR system as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of MCOT forms and ensure proper completion and filing.
- Update and maintain form databases, policy manuals, and training materials.
- Maintain adequate office supplies and process requisition requests.
- Assist with staff scheduling, PTO tracking, and timecard editing as requested by leadership.
- Support team meetings by preparing agendas and recording minutes.
- Monitor and assign Sheena’s Law police reports, distribute appropriately, and upload to Records.
- Coordinate with other departments to support client needs and team operations.
- Maintain orderly work areas and submit work orders for facility or IT needs.
- Follow HIPAA standards and agency confidentiality policies, completing required training and refreshers.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Entry level (no prior related work experience)
License: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
Preferred QualificationsExperience: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
Familiarity or experience in behavioral health services.
Expertise in Microsoft Suite including competency in producing reports in Excel. Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Performance Requirements KnowledgeStandard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work EnvironmentOffice. Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods.
Mental/Physical RequirementsWhile performing the job duties, the employee must walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, and listen. Peripheral vision is also required for this position.
