About the Role

Kitsap Credit Union is seeking a Junior Automation Developer. In this role you will support the identification, design, and implementation of automation solutions that streamline financial processes, improve accuracy, reduce costs, and enhance the overall member experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, deploy RPA solutions, orchestrate implementation, and maintain the automation portfolio to achieve measurable business outcomes.

  • Salary Range: $80,168.40 – $83,000.00 depending on experience
  • Bonus Target: 7% potential incentive of base pay
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9AM – 5PM

Principal Accountabilities
  • Analyze and Understand Business Processes: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives of processes to be automated.
  • Design and Develop Automation Solutions: Assist in creating automation scripts using RPA UiPath.
  • Testing and Debugging: Participate in testing automated processes to ensure they function correctly and efficiently. Identify and resolve any issues or errors.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of automation processes, including design documents, test plans, and user guides.
  • Integration: Help integrate RPA solutions with existing applications and databases to ensure seamless operation.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor performance of automated processes and make necessary updates or improvements as required.
  • Compliance: Ensure all automated processes adhere to regulatory and compliance standards within the financial industry.
  • Training: Provide support and training to end‑users and developers on how to use and manage RPA tools and systems.

Skills and Abilities
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Familiarity with RPA tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere. Developer certification required within 6 months of start date.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to understand and address business process requirements. Solid understanding of financial processes and regulations.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in automated processes.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team goals.

Required Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 5+ years of experience in financial (or retail) institution-focused on process improvement/automation in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications and Education
  • Experience: Previous experience or internships in RPA development or related fields.
  • Certifications: RPA certifications from recognized platforms such as UiPath Academy or Blue Prism University.
