Overview

Doyon Management Services, LLC (DMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Doyon Government Group (DGG), provides design-build and general construction services for demolition, new construction, renovations, repairs, and civil projects at government-owned facilities and military installations.

The Associate Project Manager supports the management of construction projects by assisting in planning, monitoring progress, and communicating with stakeholders. They help prepare project documentation, provide support in various project tasks, and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards. Additionally, they contribute to problem‑solving efforts and administrative tasks to ensure projects are completed successfully and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Utilize VISTA Project Management system for assigned duties
  • Support the project manager in administrative tasks, such as organizing meetings, maintaining project files, and updating project documentation
  • Manage subcontractor and owner pay applications, including drafting, approval coordination, and documentation
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets
  • Generate change orders for customers and subcontractors
  • Collaborate on project financial reporting with supervisors
  • Complete Estimate Amount to Complete (EAC) process in Vista
  • Coordinate and respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) with other departments
  • Manage project documentation, including daily reports, quality control plans, and submittals
  • Prepare and manage project submittals and deliverables
  • Generate Purchase Requisition s and Orders
  • Estimate time and manpower requirements for project bids
  • Coordinate construction schedule and update project schedules
  • Collaborate with Superintendents, QC Managers, Site Safety Officers, and Foremen
  • Perform field inspection and coordination
  • Manage project start‑up and close‑out processes
  • Travel to job sites and regional offices as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Possess or acquire skills to manage duties using VISTA Project Management system
  • Understand technical and administrative aspects of construction project management phases
  • Thoroughly grasp construction project lifecycle
  • Write effective, persuasive business correspondence, and understand reports from other sources
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Facilitate clear communication in multidisciplinary environment
  • Knowledgeable about government contracting and regulations
  • Establish effective relationships with employees, customers, subcontractors, and public
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, scheduling, and VISTA project management software
  • Understand and apply federal, state, and city regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year construction project management experience in commercial, civil, or federal government projects
  • Experience working on construction projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with emphasis on Excel
