We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Superintendent to lead complex, large-scale construction projects, including Department of Defense and federal work. You’ll serve as the on-site leader responsible for planning, sequencing, and overseeing day-to-day field operations on projects valued at $40M+. Your leadership will drive safety, quality, schedule performance, and strong relationships with federal partners, design teams, trade contractors, and our internal project teams.

What

You’ll Do
  • Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
  • Supervise, train, and mentor field staff, craft labor, and subcontractors
  • Set clear expectations around safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism
  • Ensure work is executed in compliance with contract requirements, federal regulations, and project standards
  • Partner closely with Project Managers, owners, inspectors, and design teams
  • Manage CPM schedules, pull plans, and detailed look-ahead schedules
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, reporting, and documentation required for federal projects
  • Maintain site security, access controls, and compliance with DoD project protocols
  • Monitor labor, material usage, and field productivity to support project financial goals
  • Proactively identify risks and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or quality
Why You’ll Be Successful

You bring strong field leadership, sound judgment, and deep experience managing complex commercial and federal construction projects. You understand the structure, documentation, and accountability required on DoD work and know how to lead teams in highly regulated environments. You communicate clearly, hold high standards, and take pride in delivering projects the right way.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects
  • Proven experience leading projects valued at $40M+
  • At least 2 years of experience on NAVFAC and/or USACE projects strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting requirements, QA/QC, and safety standards EM-385-1-1
  • Experience working in secure and active federal facilities
  • In-depth knowledge of craft functions and union agreements
  • Proficiency with Procore and Primavera P6 (preferred)
  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, inclusion, and developing future leaders
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
