Program/Department: Gateway Church / Crosspoint Christian Schools Secondary

Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher

Reports To: Secondary Principal

Crosspoint Christian Schools is looking for a Secondary Science Teacher who is a committed follower of Jesus and passionate about scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and discovery. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the natural world, think analytically, and grow in both academic and spiritual maturity.

As a member of the Gateway One Team, you will support and demonstrate an understanding of the church’s mission:
Presenting Hope and Developing People. Possessing a character that reflects biblical godliness, demonstrating a meaningful personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and active involvement in a local body of Christian believers are key qualifications.

Job Status: Full-time, 9-11 months

Exempt Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $36,000-$58,569 annually

Work Location: Bremerton Campus

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Teach science courses with depth and purpose, developing students’ understanding of scientific principles, inquiry, and real‑world application.
  • Facilitate engaging labs, experiments, and discussions that encourage curiosity, problem‑solving, and critical thinking.
  • Implement an aligned curriculum in collaboration with the science department to ensure consistency and progression across grade levels.
  • Provide clear, timely feedback that supports student growth in both conceptual understanding and scientific skills.
  • Integrate faith and worldview into science instruction, helping students explore the relationship between faith and scientific truth.
  • Create a classroom culture of curiosity, respect, and exploration where students actively engage with content and one another.
  • Support school‑wide culture and student formation through participation in events, retreats, and community life.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, education, or a related field required.
  • Valid teaching certificate required.
  • Prior experience teaching science at the secondary level preferred.
