This role will be teaching welding classes at the Bremerton and Shelton campuses. Olympic College, an award‑winning college on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, seeks faculty who will support the College's commitment to the academic success of all students, including diverse and under‑represented groups.

• Teach college‑level course(s) in accordance with the college catalog, schedule of classes, course outlines, course syllabi, and departmental guidelines.
• Provide quality teaching, including related preparation and grading.
• Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the division office as requested.
• Maintain accurate records of students and complete required forms.
• Punctual communication with students, faculty, and staff.
• May include evening instruction.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.

• Five years as a welder and/or as a supervisor of welders.
• Experience in common welding processes such as OFC, PAC, CAC‑A cutting processes, OAW, and GTAW, GMAW (steel and aluminum), SMAW, FCAW‑SS, and FCAW‑GS.

• Teaching experience.
• College degree in a related field.
• Welding certifications.

We are unable to sponsor visas for this position. Only candidates currently authorized to work in the United States will be considered. Faculty members must submit official, unopened transcripts to the Human Resources department within 30 days of employment. Final salary contract will be determined based on educational qualifications and applicable credits.

This is an adjunct faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis. Placement on the faculty salary schedule will be commensurate with educational background and experience. The salary listed is a range based on per quarter. This position is covered by the Association for Higher Education (AHE) collective bargaining agreement.

Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the department, including evening and/or weekend classes, instruction at satellite Olympic College campuses, and off‑campus assignments such as travel to clinical sites.

Adjunct faculty are not eligible for benefits upon initial hire. Adjunct faculty must work 50% of a full‑time load for two consecutive quarters to become eligible for benefits. Additional hours earned at other SBCTC colleges may count toward this requirement.

Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability for this position. Candidates will also be required to complete the Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Form as required by WB HB 2327.

Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance of the campus at the time of hiring, and will be required to travel frequently to Olympic College campuses or other sites.
