RF Electrical Engineer; Bremerton, WA - Clearance

LMI is seeking a skilled RF Electrical Engineer in Bremerton, WA. The role focuses on supporting shipyard modernization efforts with RFID technology and providing on‑site technical expertise to oversee electronics, devices, and system‑of‑systems components.

• Oversee workflow and workforce, giving directions and recommendations when necessary.
• Develop strategies and plans to improve site efficiency, produce progress reports, and coordinate with other workers.
• Provide on‑site passive Radio Frequency Identification (pRFID) technical expertise and support to oversee the successful operation of electronics, devices, and system‑of‑systems components.
• Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties.
• Design electronic circuits and components for use in telecommunications or instruments and controls.
• Oversee installation staff and manage responsibilities of all staff assigned to a specific job.
• Recommend and implement hardware, infrastructure, and installation configurations based on facility features and constraints.
• Develop and analyze communication protocol requirements given dynamic bandwidth, latency, frequency, proximity, and payload constraints.
• Support development of new wireless communication protocols to enhance logistics processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot systems and components, including identification and mitigation of interference and noise sources.
• Use RF engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance.
• Provide engineering support, optimization recommendations, and troubleshooting for fielded products and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement test and qualification procedures for wireless communication and data collection systems.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience as an Electronics or Electrical Engineer with field support.
• Strong understanding of IOT, RFID, and network engineering.
• Familiarity with deployment considerations and facility nuances.
• Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.
• Professional and detail‑oriented work ethic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
• Active Secret clearance preferred; only candidates eligible for a Secret level clearance will be considered (US Citizenship required).

Target salary range: $111,000 - $192,000. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
