Propulsion Controls Engineering has a current opening for an Environmental, Safety & Health Technician, with knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items; supporting our Bremerton and Everett, WA locations.
ESH TechnicianJob Summary:
An ESH Technician serves as an environmental and safety resource for facility and subcontractor personnel working in a variety of industrial fields associated with ship repair. The areas include: on board sea going vessels and ships; industrial shops; dry docks; etc., ensuring compliance with established Federal OSHA, State OSHA, NAVSEA Standard Items, and Maritime regulations and/or requirements.
Job Requirements andQualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma or GED certificate or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must possess knowledge of OSHA Regulations 29 CFR 1910, 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Maritime Knowledge (preferred)
- Knowledge of proper investigating and reporting of incidents.
- Strong communicator
- Ability to resolve complaints and negotiate with others.
