Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy Afloat! We are seeking a Engineer Planning Analyst to be a member of the Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT). In this role, you will perform various duties as our liaison between CEMAT and US Navy Carriers in our area of responsibility prior to and during ship's availabilities. This is a full-time position, located in Bremerton, WA.
What You Will Do:
- Attends essential meetings that support CEMAT tasking during ship's availabilities that include, but are not limited to, Ship's morning production meetings, support services request meetings, Key Event readiness meetings, CEMAT production meetings, etc.
- Communicates with senior military leadership, COMNAVAIRPAC Representatives, Shipyard Management, and CEMAT Management providing updates and plans of action for Carrier Availabilities.
- Updates and communicates CEMAT daily work progress and resolves any task integration issues regarding shipyard and other contractor work.
- Monitors and provides input for ship's outages that affect CEMAT tasking providing mitigation recommendations to ensure customer schedules are being met.
- Informs the CEMAT Team and Managers of ship's scheduled evolutions i.e., drills, fueling/defueling, hot/cold work areas, etc. which may involve potential priority shifts.
- Monitors CEMAT work areas for safety, procedural compliance, and adherence to Navy/local Standard Items. May be performing duties as WAF/Tagout Coordinator.
What You Must Have:
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Must possess at least ten years of experience leading teams or managing personnel.
- Familiar with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and NAVSEA Standard Items.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing shipboard auxiliary systems equipment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC, base, and ships access.
- Bonus Points For Experience with catapult equipment an added plus. Possession of Navy Master Training Specialist certification. Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI) background. A current, active security clearance.
- Physical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
