We are seeking a talented Dietary Manager to help us deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Position SummaryThe Dietary Manager will oversee the food service operations at one of our skilled nursing facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality meal service, and a positive dining environment for residents. This role is perfect for a motivated leader with a passion for nutrition, food safety, and team development.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and direct daily dietary department operations
- Ensure menus meet residents’ nutritional needs in accordance with physician orders, state, and federal guidelines
- Oversee meal preparation, service, and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and sanitation
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise dietary staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability
- Maintain inventory, order food and supplies, and manage department budget
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team to accommodate special diets, allergies, and texture modifications
- Conduct routine kitchen inspections and maintain compliance with food safety regulations
- Participate in care plan meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential or willingness to obtain within required timeframe
- Previous leadership experience in dietary/food service management (healthcare or SNF experience strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families
