Asset Management Technician
The salary indicated above includes longevity (1% earned after five years and increases to a maximum of 4% after 20 years). Additionally, a 3.8% cost of living increase has been approved for 2027.
Under the direction and general supervision of the Asset Manager, the Asset Management Technician is responsible for providing support with the City's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System. This position is expected to provide technical assistance to EAM users throughout the city, conduct data analysis, and perform system maintenance as needed. The incumbent is responsible for performing assigned duties in a timely, accurate, and professional manner;
effectively managing competing priorities and changing workloads; exercising initiative in identifying and completing additional work as appropriate; and complying with applicable City policies, labor agreements, and safety requirements.

Support the administration and ongoing maintenance of the City's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
Maintain system data integrity through data analysis, quality control reviews, system audits, and routine data maintenance activities
Provide technical support and user assistance for EAM system users, including troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions.
Assist with user training and the development of documentation, procedures, and best practices related to EAM system use.
Develop, implement, and maintain business processes, workflows, and automated solutions that improve operational efficiency, data collection, and asset management practices.
Coordinate with field staff, supervisors, and other departments to develop work plans, performance metrics, cost-tracking measures, and reporting tools to support operational planning, budgeting, and decision-making
Test, evaluate, and assist with the implementation of new system modules, applications, integrations, and workflow enhancements.
Develop reports, dashboards, charts, and other analytical tools utilizing EAM system data to support operational and strategic objectives.
Support and maintain integration between the City's EAM system and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including coordination with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments.
Perform GIS-related maintenance, data analysis, quality assurance, and data management activities as assigned.
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to asset management, data management, and GIS to support continuous improvement efforts.

Position may be eligible for a hybrid or flexible work schedule, subject to management approval.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Data management, system integration, reporting, and analytics principles.
Microsoft Office applications, databases, and spreadsheet software.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including ArcGIS platforms.
Municipal operations, asset management principles, and performance measurement methodologies.
Skill in:
Data analysis, quality assurance, and data management.
Report development, dashboard creation, and data visualization.
Process improvement and workflow development.
Troubleshooting technical issues and evaluating system solutions.
Organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and assignments.
Providing responsive customer service and technical support.
Ability to:
Analyze technical and operational issues and develop effective solutions using sound judgment and critical thinking.
Communicate technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing, to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.

Manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and adapt to changing business needs.
Support continuous improvement efforts through process enhancements, system optimization, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Applicants must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent; OR possess any combination of education and experience equivalent to:
A High School Diploma or GED; and
Two (2) years of experience supporting, administering, maintaining, analyzing, or coordinating data, asset management systems, GIS systems, enterprise software applications, business processes, or related technical programs.
