Nuclear Quality Control Inspector

Lead, mentor, and train subordinate inspectors in a positive and professional manner.

Ensure that personnel are sufficiently trained in the processes and responsibilities of nuclear quality control to certify that specifications are adhered to.

Coordinate priorities and deadlines with numerous project and production personnel to maximize efficient use of personnel while meeting the shipyard's needs.

Identify and often resolve problems as they arise and propose solutions to unusual or complex problems to nuclear inspection division management.

Perform electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical processes, product, and test inspections on assigned refueling and overhaul work.

Respond to NAVSEA precepts letters as supervisor for the training branch.

Coordinate work with other inspection supervisors to ensure consistent inspection effort and efficient utilization of manpower.

Ensure financial parameters for all work under assigned cognizance are met or communicated early to the appropriate channel with the project involved and division management.
