Job Overview

As a Customer Service Associate, you combine top‑notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping at Lowe's. This is an excellent role for those who want to engage with customers and help them solve their home improvement challenges.

Pay Range: $17.13 – $17.70 per hour. Starting rate may vary by location, position, education, training and experience.

• Welcome customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Down‑stock merchandise by replenishing supplies and filling empty areas on shelves.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise on time.
• Cross‑train in other store areas to support quality service.
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• At least 6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
• At least 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Capability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, sitting, or other necessary activities.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted, or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation.

• 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bi‑lingual skills.
• Certification in a trade related to the department you will join (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials).

This role does not require regular travel; occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, training or to support neighboring stores.

Environmental factors vary by location: inside and outside weather conditions, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, and constant or intermittent noise are possible. Lifting may involve up to 75 lbs as a single lift; team lifts are used as needed. Powered equipment may be used with proper training.
