Position: ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC LEADER with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* You will work to energy control procedures and electrical safety per the guiding OSH manuals.
* You will utilize shops processes to assign corrective work and preventative maintenance.
* You will read, interpret, and work effectively from electrical and electromechanical blueprints, manufacturers' manuals and schematics.
* You will brief other workers on safe work practices utilizing the Electrical Competence Program (ECP) forms/process.
* You will instruct employees in specific tasks and job techniques, make available written work instructions, and reference materials, and supplies.
* You will program PLC ladder logic, CNC parameter settings and adjustments, and CNC programmable alignments and compensations.
* You will apply electrical theory, methods, materials, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
* You will read, interpret, and work effectively from electrical and electromechanical blueprints, manufacturers' manuals and schematics, and skill in troubleshooting in nuclear and nonnuclear environments.
* You will use tools, meters, and test equipment common to the EICM trade.
* You will map out and draw electrical schematics where none are provided, utilizing in-depth understanding of the requirements for arc flash calculations.
* You will instruct others on the job, coordinating and controlling the work of a group to provide on time, properly completed work, maintaining standards of quality and safety. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
* You will be required to work in awkward positions while using the tools and instruments of the trade.
* You will be required to kneel, stoop, bend, and climb ladders, and lift or carry items weighing up to and occasionally over 60 pounds.
* Must be able to use sensory perception sufficient to recognize and diagnose problems by sight, hearing, smell, feel/tactile sensitivity, sound, vibration, or other perception. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
