PSNS Marine Electrician
We are seeking a skilled electrician to work on the elevator units of the USS NIMITZ s role involves hands-on work with wiring, troubleshooting, and installation on ships.
Responsibilities- Work on elevator units of the USS NIMITZ.
- Perform wiring, troubleshooting, and installation tasks.
- Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
- Install conduit, pull wire, and bend conduit as needed.
- Conduct electrical wiring and installation on ships.
- Experience as an electrician on ships.
- Proficiency in wiring, troubleshooting, and blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to install conduit and perform cable pulling and wiring.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with shipyard operations.
This opportunity offers a chance for long-term employment. Initially, you will work for 4-6 months, with the potential for full-time hire based on performance and fit.
Work EnvironmentThe position is based at the shipyard at PSNS, requiring work both outdoors and inside the ship. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including rain, sun, and snow. The shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a contract to hire position based out of Bremerton, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
