Job Description

CTR Group is seeking experienced MIG TIG Welders in the Bremerton, WA area to work in a Shipyard environment.

Pay Rate: $32 per Hour Plus $178 Per Diem for non-local candidates.

SUMMARY:

The Welders are responsible for accomplishing work in accordance with work specifications safely, with the highest quality and in a professional manner.

POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training/Experience)

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with at least two years being NAVSEA-related experience.
• Possesses standard tools for a welder.
• Able to work different shifts.
• Must have good knowledge of ship board spaces.
• Must have knowledge of weld symbols and general DWGs.
• Must pass FCAW, 2G, 3G & 4G 71T1 .045 wire.
• Must pass SMAW, 6G Pipe, 11018 “stick”.
• Must pass SMAW, 6G Pipe, 309 “stick”.
• Must pass GMAW, 2G, 3G & 4G aluminum 5000 & 6000 series.
• Must pass GTAW, 2G, 3G & 4G aluminum 5000 & 6000 series.
• Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F RN67(CUNI).
• Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F 316 (Stainless Steel).
• Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F 70S2 (Carbon Steel).
• Must pass GTAW, 6G RN625 on Carbon Steel pipe (open root).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to safely hook up and operate a torch.
• Must have knowledge of WAFs
• Must be able to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Ability to gain access to local bases.
