Description

If you are devoted to serving those with developmental disabilities, consider this exciting opportunity. The Home & Community Living Administration (HCLA) is expanding its services and is hiring an experienced Resource Case Manager to work in our office in Bremerton, WA. This position offers a chance to advance your social service career.

Where you will work

We support a hybrid work model. In the first few months you will be in your local office regularly for training and support. Your schedule may include hybrid work, modified schedules, duty station, or telework. Training outside the local office and travel within Washington State are required. Travel may be necessary to meet business needs. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities
  • Identify client support needs and authorize payment for appropriate services.
  • Schedule and conduct face‑to‑face home visits and living‑quarters visits with clients and families.
  • Facilitate person‑centered goal‑planning discussions with clients and families.
  • Complete and revise client assessments and person‑centered service plans within established timelines.
  • Identify clients or families in crisis and make referrals to appropriate authorities, departments/administration services, state plan services, or local community resources.
  • Determine financial and functional eligibility for requested or enrolled programs.
  • Review and monitor client plans, reports, and progress.
  • Obtain translation and interpretation services when needed.
  • Maintain complete and accurate case files, provider payment records, and service approvals/waivers.
  • Represent DDA professionally and participate in community and agency meetings.
Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, social services, human services, behavioral sciences, or an allied field and:

  • Two years of experience providing social services to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or
  • Six years of experience in providing services to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or
  • Completion of 12 months as a Case Resource Manager Trainee; or
  • Equivalent experience/education.

Graduate training in the aforementioned areas substitutes one year of experience for each year completed.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills: e‑mail, data entry, internet, basic software.
  • Working knowledge of the Developmental Disabilities Administration’s residential and county service guidelines, RCWs, WACs, and policies/procedures.
  • Ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential information.
  • Prioritization and organization in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural diversity.
