IMPORTANT Application Details

This opening is to fill vacant full-time Para educator I positions for the  school year. Paraeducators work on a 180 day calendar. The position will remain open to applicants until all positions are filled. New Job Opening emails will be regularly sent to current district staff to announce vacancies. If selected for an interview, candidates will have an opportunity at the time of interview to select location and hours per day preference.

If a candidate is interested in part-time hours, please indicate this at the time of the interview. Screening of applicants will be continuous.

Two (2) of the required references MUST BE from former or current SUPERVISORS for your application to be accepted for a given position.

Conditions of Employment

* I authorize the Central Kitsap School District to conduct a background investigation and authorize the release of information in connection with my application for employment. This investigation may include such information as criminal or civil convictions, driving records, previous employers and educational institutions, personal references, professional references, and other appropriate sources. I waive my right of access to any such information, and without limitation hereby release the school district and the reference source from any liability in connection with its release or use.

This release includes the references and former employers cited in my online application and specific examples as follows:
Information from the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which contains data on all criminal convictions, or certification that no data on criminal convictions are maintained, information from OSPI, the Washington or other State Department of Social Services Child Protective Services Unit and any locality to which they may refer for release of information pertaining to any findings of child abuse or neglect investigation involving me.

Furthermore, I certify that I will make correct and complete answers and statements on my online application in the knowledge that they may be relied upon in considering my application for employment. I understand that any omission or falsely answered statements made by me on this application, or any supplement to it, will be sufficient grounds for failure to employ or for my discharge from employment with the Central Kitsap School District.

* I understand that CKSD requires that the individuals entered in the "References" section of this electronic application be current or former supervisors, if possible. I further understand that information received from said references will remain on file and will be used for future applications for two years from the date of receipt. Once a response is received, it cannot be deleted and replaced with another reference during this two-year timeframe.

* This position requires a high school diploma or GED. I believe I meet this requirement and understand that I will be required to upload unofficial or official documentation to apply and be considered for an interview.

* This position requires one of the following:
* Two years of college (48 semester units or 72 quarter units)
* Have an AA degree or higher
* Have passed the Parapro Assessment
* Or met the minimum requirements on the PESB website I believe I meet one of the above requirements and understand that I will be required to upload unofficial or official transcripts or Para Pro Assessment or other PEBS assessment documentation with a passing score to apply and be considered for an interview. If offered the position, I understand that official documentation will need to be provided before I am eligible to start the position.
