Summary
Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Food and Beverage;

NBK Bremerton – PSNS
Duties- Drive automobile and trucks up to and including 1‑ton capacity to transport personnel, articles, and materials throughout the installation and on public roads for long and short periods.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials; ensure vehicle is not loaded beyond rated capacity by checking cargo papers and visual observations.
- Complete preventive maintenance service records; fill out driver’s accident report in case of accident.
- Perform driver’s maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties assigned.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Works outside and is occasionally exposed to bad weather while loading and unloading vehicles.
- Moderate physical effort is required for frequent handling of objects weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasional handling of objects weighing over 70 pounds while loading and unloading cargo.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Skilled in handling the controls for starting, stopping, backing, and driving the vehicle.
- Know the height, width, length, and weight of vehicles driven to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius, braking distance, and the safest distance to be maintained from preceding vehicle.
- Know safety rules and regulations and other posted rules for moving vehicles, and how to load cargo onto the vehicle, arranging it in such a way as to provide the best support and to prevent its shifting or falling.
- Know or be familiar with reporting requirements and procedures applicable for preparation of service records and accident reports; know driver’s maintenance requirements and procedures for the vehicle being driven.
There is no minimum education requirement for this position.
Additional InformationParticipation may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
