Tool Room Attendant
The Tool Room Attendant works in a busy warehouse and tool room supporting ship repair operations. This role is responsible for checking out and tracking tools, performing inventory of parts and materials, and handling shipping and receiving activities. The position involves extensive computer-based documentation and requires strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Check tools in and out of the tool room and maintain accurate tool crib records.
- Perform regular inventory of tools, parts, and materials to ensure proper stock levels.
- Receive incoming shipments, perform visual inspections of materials, and verify accuracy against documentation.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including organizing materials and completing all required paperwork.
- Fill out shipping documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and customs paperwork accurately and completely.
- Gather required forms and information, including pricing details, and enter them into documents and systems.
- Conduct part marking as needed to ensure proper identification and traceability of materials.
- Perform data entry for inventory management, shipping, and receiving transactions using computer systems.
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain tasks related to tool room and warehouse operations.
- Maintain an organized tool room and warehouse area to ensure efficient access to tools and materials.
- Experience working in a warehouse, tool room, or tool crib environment.
- Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes.
- Strong inventory management and inventory control skills.
- Ability to accurately complete shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
- Computer literacy with the ability to perform extensive data entry and work with logistics and inventory systems.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and supply chain concepts.
- Ability to perform visual inspection of materials and identify discrepancies.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting military operations preferred
- Familiarity with cycle counts and reconciliation of inventory records.
- Ability to perform part marking and labeling of materials.
- Comfort working with various warehouse tools, equipment, and inventory systems.
- Secret Security clearance or eligibility for one required

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
