Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate. Major responsibilities include instructional strategies, student growth and development, classroom management and organization, communication, and professional growth and development. Special knowledge and skills include knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, curriculum and instruction, and skills in managing a classroom and student behavior.

Supervisory responsibilities are none. Working conditions include maintaining emotional control under stress and the ability to lift and/or carry at least 30 lbs.
