Position: SOCIAL WORKER with Security Clearance
Duties
* Observes and participates in squadron activities in order to identify psychosocial stressors and barriers to optimal human performance. Integrates into the full spectrum of squadron activities observing squadron personnel in the conduct of their duties across the full span of worksites, processes, and shifts.
* Develops and implements initiatives to mitigate psychosocial stressors and risks and optimize airmen performance.
* Provides psychological consultation, education, and training to military commanders/senior leaders, other mental health professionals, and medical staff.
* Conducts psychodiagnostics assessments and provides evidence-based psychotherapy. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Employee must maintain current certifications

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* At a minimum, qualification requirements stipulated by the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for the 0185 occupational series must be met.
* Selective Placement Factor:
Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice clinical social work independently in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S Virgin Islands.
* Practice will require clinical privileges at the host MTF. MUST maintain active clinical privileges for the duration of employment. Must sustain current competency to practice at the independent level.
* Must have practiced as an independent licensed clinical social worker within the past two years.
* As a condition of employment, government civilian providers must meet all applicable credentialing requirements IAW local military treatment facility guidelines and be fully qualified to perform within the scope of their practice.
* Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* Incumbent may share on-call duty during weeknights and/or weekends on a rotational basis as required consistent with other mental health professionals of the same specialty performing like duties.
* Completion of appropriate clinical and administrative duties may involve "after hours" care or work in addition to regular duties.
* This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical
- Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
* This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. (CONTINUED BELOW) Qualifications CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
* This is a Key position. The duties of this position meets all requirements as a category 4 designation, and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency or office to function effectively. This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CANNOT become a member of the Ready Reserve (IAW: DoDD 1200.7,"Screening the Ready Reserve).

* This position is Emergency-Essential. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Emergency-Essential duties until relieved by proper authority. The incumbent or the designated alternate may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.

This meets the criteria of an Emergency-Essential position and requires that the incumbent, or the designated alternate, be removed from any military recall status. Employee must sign DD Form 2365 as a condition of employment.
* This position has been identified as having "regular contact with children". IAW Public Law 101-647
